Over the past couple of years, TikTok has become one of my favorite social media apps. Captivated by the individualism and creativity expressed throughout the app, I find myself tapping on the heart icon for more content to suit my liking.
Some of the videos that have me sitting like a couch potato for hours usually pertain to fashion. I’ve always been interested in the idea of a person’s unique style. These inspired outfits tend to have a more casual and an edgy look than what I’m used to seeing on other social media apps.
Even though some of the fashion trends on TikTok are targeted mostly towards the younger generations (Gen Z and Millennials), here are some TikTok inspired outfits that will boost your self-confidence no matter your age.
1.) Denim Denim Denim!

Can’t go wrong with a little bit of denim! For a casual weekend look, a good old pair of denim jeans or a stunning denim jacket will do the job.
2.) Skirts!

Similar to the Disney Pixar animated film Ratatouille phrase of “Anyone can cook”, I believe that “anyone can wear skirts”. Although some of the older and more conservative generations will most likely disagree with this trend, the younger generations don’t mind it at all. In fact, TikTok users are encouraging individuals to express themselves and be comfortable with who they are.
3.) Kick back & Relax

When in doubt, wear sweatpants and a hoodie. This right here makes up at least 85% of my entire wardrobe.
4.) Artsy Aesthetic

For those who live for the art aesthetic but have trouble figuring out the right style, I recommend experimenting with some high waisted pants and a splash of color with a good ol’ pair of Chuck Taylor Converse.
5.) Edgy Makeup and crazy hair color

I present to you the Egirl/Eboy style.
If you’ve been around TikTok for any amount of time, you would have probably encountered the rising curiosity of the Egirl/ Eboy widespread among the Gen Z crowd. According to journalist Kanak Devnani, “In fashion or art, nothing is ever really new, is it? The look seems to include aspects of the British punk era (think band tees, tartan and safety pins), ‘80s goth styles and more recent ‘2000s angsty punk-emo phase. All those aspects thrown in with some anime and colorful K-pop influences seems to be the best way to describe the E-girl [E-boy] fashion and beauty aesthetic at times”.
There are many other fashionable and trendy styles growing on TikTok that it is a bit hard to keep up with. However, I wanted to give you all some stylish outfit ideas for this spring (or any day really). The fashion industry might be obsessed with super slim bodies, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look amazing regardless of your size. In other words, wear whatever your heart desires, because as long as you feel confident, you’ll look beautiful. Remember, You are your own person, so don’t ever let anyone tell you what you can and can’t wear.
