Marvel Announced Their Upcoming Projects for this Year & We Are Overwhelmed in the Best Way Possible

Phase four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has officially started with WandaVision. Wanda Maximoff and Vision, are living their dream life in suburban Westview, New Jersey before they realize everything’s not what it seems. This series is available on Disney+, it has seven episodes and its season finale will be on March 5th.

We continue next with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles in this series which is said to be about their mission to stop Baron Zemo, the villain in Captain America: Civil War. The expected release for this series is March 19th on Disney+. It’s a long wait, but the trailer is available to watch and that will do for now.

After two months of solitude, cinemas all over the world will be graced with Black Widow the solo film starring Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh and David Harbour. Since this movie is about her past, it is rumored that Robert Downey Jr. is going to make an appearance. We won’t know if this rumor is true or not until May 7th so stick around to find out!

Marvel Studios crushed our hopes and dreams when they made this character meet his creator in Avengers: Endgame, but they are compensating by giving him his much-needed show. That’s right, Loki is returning! And yes, he will be played by the one and only Tom Hiddleston! Loki will be based around the time the Avengers were battling in New York in 2012, meaning that we'll see Loki in his natural trickster habitat. We won’t spoil anything for you, but the trailer is out just in case you’re tempted to know more. We’ll be able to watch this show on June 11th on Disney+.

Entering the spotlight for the first time is Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings. Shang Chi, Marvel’s first ever Asian superhero will be played by Simu Liu and he will face the Mandarin, who will be played by Tony Leung Chiu-wai. It has been said that the “Ten Rings” is a reference to the organization led by the Mandarin, it made its first appearance in Iron-Man 3. This anticipating film will hit cinemas around the world on July 9th.

What If… is also said to be released during the summer. This animated show will be based on the comics also titled "What If..." In each episode we will see what would’ve happened to a different MCU character if something in their life had been different. In the trailer, we get a small look at what would happen if Peggy Carter had taken the super serum instead of Captain America.

Hawkeye will also have his time to shine in his new series. This self-titled show will be about Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton training a new Hawkeye, a woman named Kate Bishop who will be played by Hailee Steinfeld. Steinfeld and Marvel Studios have posted stills of this new show, making us more excited to see Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in action.

Jump to November 5th, we have The Eternals. This film is about immortal individuals with different types of powers. These characters will be brought to life by notable actors such as Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Richard Madden. The amount of talented people in this movie is almost as powerful as the characters they’re playing.

Last but not least, we have Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. After the actors were teasing us about it, we now know it’ll be called Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was rumored that Doctor Strange will also make an appearance in this film, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be there too! They will bring their Spider-Man versions to life once again; we will also see different villains such as Electro who will be played by Jaimee Foxx and Otto Octavious played by Alfred Molina. There’s no way you’ll want to miss this, Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit the theaters on December 17th, stay tuned for more!
